The Figaro’s new line

Yesterday, Le Figaro presented a redesign of all its media (paper, magazine and website) by adding a unique component : video with Le Figaro TV. In terms of both form and content, the idea is to simplify access to information, thus rendering the whole more consistent . « tells the news, the daily analyses it, Le Figaro Magazine creates the news and the portal illustrates it » explains Alexis Brézet, Chief Editor. In terms of form, the daily, the magazine as well as the website will become much neater and clearer.

Le Figaro offers its readers a new dimension thanks to its downloadable app that will allow viewers to watch videos illustrating the daily’s printed articles. According to Alexis Brézet, ‘Le Figaro TV must cater for all media consumer trends’.

The goal is to distribute a hundred videos a day by 2014 compared to fifteen today and to get views to increase from 2 million a month in 2012 to six million a month in 2014.

Some of these innovative projects could be supported by the fund created by Google to help newspaper publishers to innovate in the digital field.
