The United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women, also known as UN Women, launched a new awareness campaign to show that inequality between women and men still exists.
This campaign has been created and declined into several versions of advertising posters by the agency Ogilvy & Mather Dubai. After many research about gender inequality with the famous search engine Google, the agency noticed that there were really negatives results about women, not compliant to their rights.
That’s why the campaign creator, Christopher Hunt, decided to show women portraits with text instead of their mouths like if the they were the search engine. The aim of the campaign, as it is shocking, is to make the public react about women conditions over the world.
It is for UN Women a testimony of the need to defend women rights’.
